View the academic achievement of North Carolina students here. Choose the county, then the district. You may view academics as far back as 2015. The 2022-2023 scores have not been added to the NC School Report Cards as of 9-20-2023.

A new report on the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction website includes test results from the 2022-23 school year.  See the press report,  Data Sets and Reports, and Resources below. The report shows students making gains in 2022-23 while the number of low performing schools increased. In order to fully understand the data, a closer examination of all student subsets will be needed.

We leave it up to you to decide whether you are satisfied with the academic achievement of NC students. Did you look at the performance of subgroups? Are NC educators and the models being used, meeting the needs of all North Carolina children? You decide.
